Of Muallaf & Starbuck's 11th Hari Jadi!
I had the pleasure of receiving invites to watch Muallaf thanks to @flyguy729 and all I can say is please, you have to watch it so go buy a ticket and bring a friend.
I felt that the beloved late Yasmin Ahmad wanted to prove a point through this 2007 movie that never made it to Malaysian screens (only in Singapore) and it was none other than the fact that religions and races can still be kept under the same sentence, and yet not cause a sensitive uproar by the respective parties. So who is it again that incited racial issues?
I rest my case.
Anyway the very next day was Starbuck's 11th Birthday and I was kindly invited by them to attend the official Facebook Fan Page launch the very same night!
As if it wasn't good enough an incentive to have free flow of coffee that night, we, the LanSi gang, still took advantage of Starbuck's 11am to 1pm FREE tall coffee at all Starbucks outlets along with thousands of others. It was just so fun!
Hours passed and the next thing you know, I ended up at Tropicana City Mall where the masquerade party was being held. Wasn't hard to tell where the party's at with the picture above lol!
Along with Esty we saw lots of familiar faces including @Suanie, @Myhorng, @Lavuarne, @dustyhawk, @royalshortness, @cincauhangus and @serpentinegal. The pic above though gives us a clue about who's behind @StarbucksMY's handle, and boy was she one bubbly character! I love Jone :D
It was a really fun filled night and I want to take this opportunity to thank Starbucks and team for the job well done! You deserve to be proud of yourselves for a job well done.
At least I knew for a fact that I thoroughly enjoyed myself, being asked to dance as part of the mini-games entered here was just one of the happening times lol!
We settled in the end outside to see the fire jugglers and the Christmas Carollers doing their thing. I was so close to joining them as I love singing, but i guess I have to organize our next Karaoke session now shouldn't we? Woo hoo!
